May Processions

The May Procession was a great day in village life - when the statue of the Virgin Mary was paraded through the village followed by crowds of young people singing praises.

Addiewell's Catholic population turned out in force to take part in the May Processions, or to watch spectacle and the procession, priests, statue and singers left the Church and processed through the village.
