I am the grandson of a Catherine Hoy b. 1902 in Graham St. Catherine is the daughter of James Hoy and Sarah Cosgrove-they were married 28th Jan 1898 in West Calder. James' parents were Robert Hoy b. 1845 d. 1917. Catherine McKee b. 1845 in Ireland and died March 1915.Robert and Catherine are buried in West Calder Cemetery Lair No D92. Does Anyone know of the Pryce Family who lived in Addiewell? I am trying to find out about Minnie (Mary) Pryce, she passed away in the 1940's. They lived in Livingston Street

Im looking for info on the Marshall Family, I think William S Marshall was a foreman, they lived in Faraday Place. On of hs sons (Robert) married an Agnes Haggie and moved to Glasgow?

I was wondering if there are any direct descendants of Mary Hay/Hyndman & William Brunton (marr; 1837 West Linton) still living in Addiewell, West Calder. The names are Fanny Brunton & William Brown, John Brunton & Margaret McPherson, Helen Brunton & David Mitchell, Janet Watson Brunton & John Caldwell, Mary Watson & James Inglis, Margaret Jane Brunton & Robert Mill Walker. They were all married between 1860-1882, and there are a few other names, that I haven't got all the info for.

The Bruntons are siblings of my 2nd great grandfather William, (Marchbanks) but he was illegitimate, and born abt: 1834 in West Linton, 3 years before William & Mary married.

It would be interesting to trace living descendants, interested in family history, to swap information with. Most of the above names, lived & died in Addiewell.

I live in West Lothian.
