Presentation to Dr Thomson

A handsome marble timepiece has been or will be presented to Dr Thomson by the people of Addiewell.  It bears the following inscription: - “Presented to Dr Thomson by his friends as a mark of esteem on the occasion of his leaving Addiewell; 10th August 1893.”  The timepiece is now on view in the Store window, and is well worth seeing.

Triplets

On Saturday last, the wife of Mr Wm. Bell, residing at Watt Street, gave birth to three fine healthy boys, who are all doing well.  Dr Ogilvy, who has lately come to Addiewell, has had recently the unique experience of bringing home seven children in three births.
