HI, I have been tracing my family tree and have noted that Joseph Grew had his mothers body brought over from Ireland to his home at 40 Graham Street, Addiewell in 1915. Where would the nearest Roman Catholic burial site be to there and it is still accessible? Thanks in advance if anyone can help. This site has been a fascinating read.

Hi Helen, the nearest cemetery at that time, and up until recently, was in West Calder (West Calder and Burngrange), which is still open and accessible to the public. Details can be found on West Lothians Council's Web page - https://westlothian.gov.uk/article/44692/Locations-of-Cemeteries-and-the-Crematorium
